Glaze Alchemy Level 1: Mix, Tweak & Create Your Own Magic
Glaze Alchemy: Mix, Tweak & Create Your Own Magic
Ever wondered what makes a glaze glossy, matte, or that perfect speckled blue? In this hands-on course, we’ll crack the code of glaze chemistry, diving into the magic of raw materials, glaze composition, and custom formulation. You’ll learn to read and remix glaze recipes like a pro, navigate UMF graphs without the headache, and tweak formulas to get the exact surface you want.
Through experiments, you’ll mix your own glazes, troubleshoot common glaze quirks, and explore the world of functional finishes. By the end, you’ll leave with a pint of your own custom glaze—formulated, tested, and ready to bring your ceramics to life!
Let’s get mixing, experimenting, and creating!
