Pronto Lithography on Clay by Alison Bigg
November 22th 2025 (SAT) 4:00pm-6:00pm
Learn how to transfer your own images onto clay using the versatile and satisfying printmaking technique of pronto lithography. In this workshop, participants will create a reusable pronto plate, prepare and ink their design, and transfer it onto a clay slab. The printed slab will then be used to hand-build a tumbler, combining printmaking with ceramics in a unique way.
After bisque firing and a clear glaze, the design will become a permanent part of the finished piece. Each participant will leave with a custom tumbler and a blank pronto plate to continue exploring the technique independently.
No prior experience is required, though some familiarity with handbuilding is recommended. All materials are provided.

There will be no refunds or rescheduling for this class.
Student pots will be kept at the studio for only 6 months after the end date of the class, no later. It is the student’s responsibility to contact Touci Ceramic Studio if they are unable to pick up their pieces on the dates provided by their instructor, no exceptions.
